Islamorada Fishing Report 4-12-18

We’ve had some great fishing on both the Capt. Easy and the Easy Does It. Fishing offshore has been good with some nice mahi mahi as well as black fin tuna, amberjack, wahoo, kingfish, mutton snapper, and grouper all part of the catch on different days depending on the fishing conditions and the type of fishing we’re doing. Reef Fishing for yellowtail snapper has been excellent as well and we’re catching cero mackerel, king mackerel, mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, and grouper on the reef also. We’re looking forward to the grouper opener on may 1st as we’ve been releasing lots of nice black grouper on our charters and are ready to start keeping them when the season opens. Inshore fishing has also been excellent. The tarpon bite has been getting better each week and both daytime and evening tarpon or tarpon and shark trips have been very good with lots of action and a very high catch rate on tarpon with at least one tarpon landed on almost every trip. These trips should be red hot for the next 2 to 3 months! Here are some pics!
